A few weeks ago, I ve been approached to work on an national advertising campaign for UNIBET, a French online betting website. The brief was pretty simple, it was just about lettering the slogan that would be put on every poster and at the end of a TV commercial.

It was a really nice project because i could really focus on the lettering and I didn't had to worry about any other things. Plus, as a fan of football, specially PSG, it was a huge honor to imagine my work next to the players.

The slogan was "Nés pour gagner", French for "Born to win" so I began with analog tries with many different tools focusing on the energy and dynamism.
I have worked with Squeezer, inks, brush pens, brush, trying to get a result with a nice texture by playing with the speed.
I have done hundreds of proposals in order to be sure to have the best choice possible between the nicest leads. I've played with shapes, making the letters work together, mixing different styles, drawing letters or using calligraphy to make them look different.
I have also worked on a lot of proposals on iPad with Procreate. It allowed me to explore more and more with other brushes and effect on letters. And this is where we stopped on one specific brush that looked like a paint brush stoke. So I started working focusing on that unique brush.
After exploring a few effects just to put some more light on the lettering, I ve created my first draft on poster just to see how the lettering would live with the picture.
And also, I have worked on a one line disposition specially for the TV commercial. I have retouched just a little bit the letters in order to stay consistent with the "three lines" which we agreed on.
After a few weeks of work on "Nés pour gagner", we had to change the slogan. But, as we found the style we wanted to work with, I just had to work on the new slogan with the brush and the style I used on the first slogan.

I did a few proposals with the new slogan which was "Pariez sur l'appli n°1", French for "Bet on the n°1 app"
At the end, my two letterings were kept and so, there is the "Pariez sur l'appli n°1" and also the "Nés pour gagner" on the bottom of the add.

I had the pleasure to see my work everywhere, and to get pictures from people everywhere in France of posters with my Lettering on it. It's always nice to see some work going live in the world.
